Re-sync data with sales channels

Order info is imported from the sales channel (eg, shopify, etsy) into orderhive.
However if an update is made to the order in the sales channel (ie, shipping address update, notes added, etc) these new pieces of information are not imported into orderhive.
Is it possible to re-sync so that data is the same across both the sales channel and orderhive?

Please make this happen but make it sync both ways so changes from shopify get updated into orderhive and any changes in orderhive gets updated into shopify. This is extremely useful in so many of our use cases. Updating order edits, reflecting billing/shipping/contact info changes, canceled orders, issuing refunds, the list goes on and on. Im not sure if Orderhive is already doing this but this could also be reflected on the product side of things so any changes to product in shopify like price, purchase cost, vendor, harm code, dims, weight, description ect… would update the product in Orderhive to reflect those changes. And then the same in reverse if any of those changes are made within Orderhive it would make the same changes to product to shopify.
Examples of how this currently effects our operation.
1.) We have a shopify address verification app that notifies customer of issue, if the customer corrects address it updates the shopify ship to address. If orderhive picked up this change then the address would also get corrected where it is more important because it will affect the ability to create label or worse package doesn’t make it to proper destination.
2.) Shopify app Edit Orders is something we utilize that allows the customer to edit their order themselves within the time constraints and other settings we set. The way it functions is by canceling the original order and adding all the ordered items back into the cart. From here the customer can add or remove items as needed. If new order is more than original a payment request is sent for additional funds. If less than original it automatically refunds the difference. If customer cancels order instead of edit then it cancels the order and refunds full amount. This has caused a huge issue within Orderhive because none of this is detected so the canceled order remains in confirmed section awaiting shipment. We had a customer edit his order twice and we almost shipped him 3 orders in which he only paid for one.
This app is so beneficial because so many customers end up adding extra items typically within the first hour or 2 of placing their original order. This used to take up a lot of time having to do this process manually but this app allows the customer to do the work adding a convenience factor for them and saving us a lot of busy work. We actually noticed an increase in order edits since adding this app to our store and it has not only been a benefit in the time savings but 95% of the edited orders the customer is adding items so its almost working as an upsell feature as well. Unfortunately, these changes are not syncing properly with Orderhive so its creating other issues on the back end.
(If I’m missing something that can solve these issues within your current features please let me know)
3.) There are some cases where we have to ship outside of Orderhive for example one of our suppliers uses a DHL third party that isn’t compatible with shiphero so we have to ship his orders using his account via shipstation. When we do this, we then have to manually update Orderhive with the tracking information. With this type of sync Orderhive could pull the tracking data from shopify and update the order automatically.
4.) Shopify just added a new feature that allows order editing. Our current software platform that we are using in conjunction with Orderhive just updated their platform that utilizes this new feature allowing us to edit the order within it and it will then make the same changes to the order in Shopify. I was beyond happy that shopify finally added this feature but to be able to handle it within our inventory software is even better. I don’t know about most users use case but I personally stay out of shopify as much as possible and want to handle as many aspects as possible in one platform which would hopefully be Orderhive.
1 additional option and benefit that can come from this.
( We have been trying to migrate to a single software solution to handle our operations but it always ends up being a trade of gaining something but losing something else. Orderhive so far is coming the closest to fulfill all of our needs but until it can fully meet our needs, we are forced to run our current system alongside it. Current platform can issue refunds from within its order screen and when doing so you get the option to issue the refund in shopify as well. This has been more beneficial then at first thought as it removes an extra step and is one more item that keeps us out of shopify menus and inside a one system platform.
5.) Customer request a full refund, partial refund, shipping refund or any other type of refund. Issue the refund within Orderhive and give the option to issue an actual refund to match changes to the order within shopify. If the refund is due to removing an item then that change should update product inventory along with updating shopify and issuing the proper refund within shopify. Its good to have the option to process those changes to Shopify because there might be instances where you only want to reflect this change within the Orderhive order.
I know there are many other use cases that this would benefit. This feature alone is one of the reasons we haven’t been able to make a full move over to Orderhive. I love what yall are doing and the constant updates are not going unnoticed but if this one can please be pushed towards the top of your list this guy would be super happy and impressed.

Would be super useful, especially for Shopify users since Shopify recently added an option allowing merchants to edit orders. if automatic re-syncing is an issue, then providing a manual re-sync option in OH would also work.

Samkit Jain: To be honest I would prefer the option of enforcing manual re-sync on a per order bases. This way I can make sure orders I edit in orderhive that do not need to reflect those edits in shopify wont do so. And then the ones I edit that I do want to reflect over I can run the sync as soon as Im done editing having it make the changes on my time not whenever its runtime cycle decides to.
In a perfect world having a reprocess button, or resync button to do this would be the best solution for multiple reasons.
Could probably be done with tag that runs the resync automation as well but my concern with that is what if you make a 2nd edit what would then be the process to get that 2nd edit to sync. Would it auto sync if the tags is already there from the first edit or would it not do anything because it believes the resync has already been ran. Tags are going to make errors happen for sure. A button for sync or a 2nd save option when saving your edits that gives option to save or save & Re Sync. Or Save without Sync and Save With Sync.
